Dr. Chan
Dr. Charlene R. Chan has been practicing in Sebastopol since 1991 and loves learning new techniques and skills in the field of orthodontics.
With all the new developments in orthodontics today, Dr.Chan enjoys being a part of this wonderful specialty more than ever. Our community is very committed to family, and it is a privilege to be a part of such a caring town!
Dr. Chan is a graduate of Loma Linda University, school of Dentistry (D.D.S.) and the University of the Pacific, San Francisco (M.S.D.). She was associate professor of Orthodontics at Pacific from 1991-2006. She is a member of the National Honor Society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon and Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. Upon completing her specialty training, Dr. Chan joined her father, Dr. Ernest Chan in private practice (begun in 1980) here in Sebastopol, CA. They worked side by side for 10 years until Dr. Ernest Chan retired. During that time, she gained valuable skills and knowledge from her father’s experience. “His shared wisdom and experience, as a colleague and as a father, will always be treasured! ”
Dr. Chan has volunteered with numerous organizations including the Volunteer Health Professionals, the Junior League of Napa-Sonoma, the Redwood Dental Society, Hanna Boys Center and various local study clubs. She is a member of many organizations including: American Association of Orthodontists, American Board of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and Redwood Empire Dental Society.
Dr.Chan lives with her husband, Ken Ip, and their son, Ryan. They enjoy the outdoors, gardening, hiking, kayaking, mountaineering, swimming, skiiing, and spending time with family and friends.
Dr. Solomon
Dr. Brandy Solomon enjoys taking care of patients and sharing her knowledge, compassion and love of orthodontics with every patient. After earning a Bachelor’s ofScience degree in Biochemistry from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, she then went on to complete her Doctorate of Dental Science degree with high honors at the University of the Pacific, School of Dentistry, San Francisco. She began her career as a dental officer in the U.S. Navy and as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Radiology and Emergency Services at the University of the Pacific. She later completed her Masters of Science in Dentistry and Orthodontic Certificate at the University of the Pacific in 2005.
Dr. Solomon loves being part of creating beautiful smiles for patients of all ages. An eternal student, Dr. Solomon diligently pursues knowledge in the latest technology and innovations in orthodontics. She offers a variety of treatment options, including advanced treatment approaches with Invisalign. She sets a high bar for excellence in her orthodontic treatment and in delivering exceptional customer service. In addition to clinical practice, Dr. Solomon is an adjunct clinical faculty member in the graduate orthodontic residency program at the University of the Pacific.
Dr. Solomon is a native of Santa Rosa where she lives with her husband Nathan and their son Ben. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, running, playing tennis, and being outdoors.
