Updated Appt Protocol
VIrtual Appointments may be an alternative or supplemental option for your next orthodontic interaction. Our office will notify you if a Virtual Appointment may be appropriate.
You may be requested to take 6 Photos prior to your next visit, to help improve efficiency and keep exposure to a minimum.
For the safety of our patients and office team, we will strictly adhere to Updated Appointment Protocols Covid-19 until further notice. Per guidelines of the CDC and the American Association of Orthodontists, under the current COVID-19 conditions, our new appointment protocols are as follows:
- Staggered scheduling of patients requires that fewer patients can be seeing at a given time, to maintain a minimum six feet distance.
- Brush at home before arriving to the appointment so as to minimize contamination and aerosols — the toothbrushing station is currently closed.
- Wear a mask before entering the office. If you do not have one, a mask will be provided; please let us know.
- Call us from your car when you arrive to check in. We will text you when patient flow allows appropriate timing of entry.
- Patients will be pre-screened for symptoms and exposure via Wellness Screening Form:
- Exposure to recent large gatherings
- Recent fever of you or someone in household
- Loss of smell
- Shortness of breath
- Restricted Entry – teens are to enter office alone; children are to be accompanied by one adult only. Parent observation is invited via Virtual Reception Room link, available upon request (via Ring Central).
- Procedures are adjusted to prevent/reduce AEROSOL production in the office.
If a patient or accompanying parent displays symptoms of the coronavirus, you will be referred for testing. Information is available via the CDC’s Public Health Laboratory Testing map.
People with COVID-19 who have completed home isolation clearance may receive emergency care at the discretion of the office team.
Our team goes through substantial efforts to routinely prevent the spread of infections, including supplemental training and additional protocols since the coronavirus emerged. Routine infection control protocols includ autoclave sterilization of instruments, sanitation procedures with proper surface distinfectants and use of PPE as directed by the guidelines of the CDC for the dental office.
